Manish Bondale

Manish Bondale, PT, COMT

Manish is the owner of Central Michigan Rehabilitation and Ascend Physical Therapy and Rehab. Manish completed his education in Calcutta India at the NILD (formerly known as National Institute of Orthopedically Handicapped) where he received his Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. Since coming to the United States, Manish has worked in various settings including long-term care, home health, and outpatient orthopedic clinics in the Central Michigan area. Manish has over 23 years of experience in physical therapy and is certified in Orthopedic Manual Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, Florida. Manish also has special training in Myofascial Release, Kinesiotaping, and Neuro-Developmental Techniques. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Michigan Physical Therapy Association, and the Indian Association of Physiotherapists. Manish very much enjoys working with individuals to achieve their physical goals and enabling them to return to normal activities. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, exercising, and being outdoors. He also enjoys golfing, fishing, boating, and hiking. 

Joseph Liberati, PT, DPT

Joey graduated from Marshall University in 2018 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Exercise Science and a Psychology Degree from Adrian College in 2012. Prior to achieving his DPT, Joey worked as a PT Tech for 3 years. There he developed a passion for treating clients while utilizing exercise as medicine. Joey has taken continuing education courses in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar Spine. He is Functional Movement Technique certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and Myofascial Release Techniques through Rock Tape. Dr. Joey takes a neuro-orthopedic based approach in his treatment of clients in which he uses manual techniques in conjunction with exercise to promote functional movement patterns and pain relief. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids, traveling, exercising and being outdoors.

Joe Donovan

Joe Donovan, PT, DPT

Joe graduated from Central Michigan University with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002. From 2003-2006, he attended Slippery Rock University and graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006. Joseph got his start in physical therapy as a graduate of Davenport College PTA program in 1997. 

 

Over the last 20+ years, he has worked with patients throughout many settings, including outpatient, acute and subacute inpatient, aqua, and home care.

 

As a lifelong learner, he appreciates the great opportunity to work with a diverse population of patients here at CMR. Beyond helping patients improve their strength and mobility, he enjoys reading, watching movies, spending time camping and traveling with his wife, Karen, and their dogs.

Austin Krompetz, LPTA

Austin graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2015. Austin also graduated from Mid Michigan Community College with his degree in Physical Therapy Assisting in 2019. He enjoys the personable aspects of working with his clients while helping them succeed with their therapeutic needs. Austin enjoys exercising, golfing, spending time with his wife Abigail, and their children and their pets.

Jeff Govitz, LPTA

Jeff is a graduate of Mid Michigan Community College, class of 2015. He became a PTA because he likes working with people and seeing their progression through his skilled therapeutic interventions. Jeff likes to spend time with family and friends and is an avid football fan.

Kaylee Smith, LPTA

Kaylee graduated from the PTA program at Mid Michigan College in 2018. What she enjoys most about her role as a PTA is helping her patients achieve their therapy goals and gaining an overall improved quality of life. In Kaylee's free time, she loves to spend time with her husband, James, and their two kids, as well as her family and friends.

Trevor Jones

Trevor Jones, LPTA

Trevor is from Coleman and graduated from Mid Michigan College in 2019, he then married his wife in July of 2021. Some of his hobbies include: cross-fit, playing guitar, board games, and traveling to other states to hike/see friends. Trevor really enjoys learning neat things about each patient's life and building relationships with them during their time at CMR!

Laura McBride

Laura McBride, SLP

Laura McBride graduated with her Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Communication Disorders. Since then, she has worked in a variety of settings with all ages. She served children, educators and families in school systems with students struggling with moderate to severe communication difficulties. More recently, Laura has served persons who have suffered strokes and traumatic brain injuries to regain communication and cognitive skills. Laura enjoys helping people of all ages learn or regain skills to express themselves with others. When Laura isn’t working, she enjoys volunteering, hiking, spending time with friends and family, and learning new techniques to support her clients and students.

Amy Heath

Amy Heath, Medical Biller

Amy attended Mid Michigan Community College and Central Michigan University. She has a teenage son with whom she loves going golfing, hunting, and fishing with. Her son is now a senior and she enjoys watching him play his last season of soccer and golf. In Amy's free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Amy is also our on staff dessert maker! She often will bring in treats for the staff to enjoy.

Victoria graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Organization. She loves getting to know the patients on a personal level and see them succeed through their time here at CMR. In her free time she enjoys concerts, road trips, and spending time with family.

Alexandra Turmell

Alexandra Turmell, LPTA

Alex graduated from Delta College in 2015 and immediately began working at CMR as a PTA. She enjoys working one on one with her clients and encouraging them to reach their full potential. Alex strives to provide a fun experience with all of her clients and believes that a positive environment is a key component to recovery. Outside of work, Alex enjoys being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. 

Kristi Caszatt, Patient Care Coordinator/Physical Therapy Technician

Kristi attended Central Michigan University and enjoys working with the public. She likes talking with the patients and helping them feel comfortable while they are in the clinic. She said it is very rewarding seeing the progress of the clients while in the care of CMR. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys being outside, photography, watching movies, music and she also keeps busy watching her daughter in her school and extracurricular activities.

Kristi Caszatt

Kate Hewitt, PT, DPT

Prior to starting graduate school, Kate started at CMR as a physical therapy technician for 3 years. Kate graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness in Preventative and Rehabilitative Programs and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She prefers hands-on manual therapy to help speed up recovery time and improve the overall effectiveness of treatment. She has additional training in treating low back pain, sciatica, and vestibular disorders. Kate enjoys playing roller derby for Central Michigan Mayhem, making and trying new recipes, and spending time with her family and friends.
